Apostolic Home Churches
A House Church, Domestic Church or House Chapel comprises a group of Christians meeting for worship in a private home rather than in a public church building. This is usually necessitated by a smaller size congregation, unavailability or non-affordability of a church facility or predominantly broadcasting Services via the Internet.
The Greek word KOIOVIVA [koi-noh-NEE-ah] is understood as an interactive, reciprocating and participating relationship with both God and believers who share in their mutual life in Christ (Acts 2:42; 1 John 1:3 & 6–7; 2 Cor. 9:13; Phil. 3:10).
House churches have also become a sign of necessity in many places due to dwindling numbers of committed or practicing Orthodox Christians, especially in the Western Diaspora.

"Greet your wife Apphia, our sister, and Archippus, our fellow soldier in ministry; and the church that meets in your house" (Philemon 1:2)
"The congregations of Asia send you their greetings. Aquila and Prisca, together with the church [that meets] in their house, send you their warm greetings in the Lord" (1 Corinthians 16:19).
"Give my greetings to the brothers and sisters at Laodicea and to Nympha and the congregation that meets in her house" (Colossians 4:15).
"Also greet the congregation that meets in their house. Greet my beloved Epaenetus, who is the first convert to Christ from the west coast province of Asia" (Romans 16:5).
Congregations meeting in their homes is an old, Biblical practice that certainly has returned in these Last Days of the "Remnant Church."
