Images Disappeared As Quickly as They Appeared

A Sincere Note from Father Michael....

"The Appearances of the Sacred Images on the Icon of the Last Judgement in the Chapel at our home in Westerville, Ohio was certainly an "eye-opening" and "faith enriching" experience for all!

It taught us to open our doors to many of different races, cultures and creeds.

During the time when the Miracle was being visited by the thousands, the Chapel of St. Nicholas was in the basement of a private home.  Although there were great Blessings, there was also a lot of family confusion and upset that we had to deal with as best we could.  You simply do not have hundreds of strangers coming into your house and going down into your basement without a sense of concern.

It was wonderful when our Metropolitan Archbishop came to visit us from Florida and to first hand view and examine the Holy Icon to make a religious determination.  Of course, there was no doubt that something was being seen by all...that could not be physically explained.

I remember that after my Wife first noticed the images, she called me down to the basement Chapel and I immediately telephoned Church Authorities for permission to contact the Media.

I will never forget the sight of the photographer...after setting up his camera and first looking into his lens...he began crying because of what he saw!  And, I will never forget the beautiful face of Our Lord that I saw when I looked into his camera as well.

Many people came...and, finally the arrival of the Metropolitan.  We had a procession with the Holy Icon around the grounds and later conducted a beautiful Pontifical Divine Liturgy with visitors, many Faithful and local officials.

Sacred events were covered  LIVE by locally Television stations and other media.

Six months later, the Holy Icon was moved to a public Chapel located in Columbus, Ohio.  Shorty after the move we noticed "tears" being shed right from the miraculous image of Christ's  face on the Holy Icon.  Within the year, the Chapel was relocated onto the campus of The Ohio State University.

We never asked Almighty God for this...but do thank Him for all the joys and blessings bestowed during this extraordinary experience.  We thank Him for the multitude of devoted Clergy and Faithful who visited and pray that each one who made the journey, received blessings AND what they were seeking.

For, on a day that was unknown to us, the Miraculous Image appeared no more....DEO GRATIAS"
