On November 2, 2018, His All-Holiness +BARTHOLOMEW the Ecumenical Patriarch of Constantinople declared that he recognized the sacraments as performed by the Ukrainian Autocephalous Orthodox Church as valid.  It was further stated from this meeting that "when there is some talk about the non-canonicity of the Holy Sacraments celebrated by the clergy of these churches, the Holy Mother Church has answered.  These Sacraments and clerical actions are canonical." 

As Primate of the Orthodox Church of America - Ukrainian Autocephalous Orthodox Church, we are pleased to recognize the following Orthodox Jurisdictions as "Sister Churches" and confirm that they possess the valid Canonical Apostolic Succession and thus, by our TOMOS as a Dependency of our Blessed Jurisdiction, inherit our Spiritual Heritage as being a part of the Ukrainian Autocephalous Orthodox Church...  +MICHAEL
